Balanced Man Scholarship

Dear Incoming Freshmen,

Welcome to Washington State University! You're about to become a part of a long tradition of greatness. We're here to tell you about one of the most prestigious awards offered this year by Sigma Phi Epsilon.

In our time here at WSU, the most successful students we've seen are those that value learning, apply their skills outside the classroom, and establish a strong friendship with their peers. Our fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon, believes balance in our academics, athletics, and leadership involvement are the most important skills we can learn. We have created the Balanced Man Scholarship to recognize incoming freshmen men (or transfer students) that exhibit this well-rounded approach to life.

Based on the principles of Sound Mind and Sound Body our scholarship rewards men that are well-rounded and find balance in their daily lives. A successful applicant has an active lifestyle, participates in team sports or individual physical activities, excels in the classroom and participates in extracurricular activities.

This year, we are going to give away $2,250 in the form of three cash scholarships. This includes a top scholarship of  $1000, and two other scholarships of $750 and $500. To qualify, you must be a male attending Washington State University in the 2011-2012 academic year. To apply just click on the link to the right and fill out the online application. Please note that applicants must send a copy of their most current high school transcript in addition to filling out the application to be eligible. Send an official copy of your most recent high school transcripts (or college transcripts if you're a transfer student) to the address at right. The scholarship deadline is June 4th at 11:59pm.

If you have any questions about the application, please don't hesitate to contact us.
